World Red Cross Day Celebrations cum Enrolment Ceremony 2012 on 21 April 2012 (Sat)

Target audience: Secondary 1s and graduating Sec 4-5
Time: 8.45am to 12.30pm
East and North Districts: 8.45am to 12.30pm
South and West Districts (which is ours): 12.45pm to 4.30pm
Venue: CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh)
Attire: Full RedCross Youth Uniform or School Uniform

Donation Drive for and Packing of Daily Necessities
Units participating in WRCD 2012 - Community Service Project on 21 April 2012 are requested to organise a Donation Drive in their schools to raise funds for donation bags. Each cadet unit is requested to raise between 20 to 25 bags of donated itemsfor the event.
Each donation bag should contain the following.
1) Dalie Travel Kit: Usual Price $2.40
2) Anlene Concentrate Low Fat Milk (4 individual pack): Usual Price: $4.35
3) One of the following
(i) Ovaltine Malted Drink Pouch (400g): Usual Price: $3.20
(ii) Milo Fuze 3 in 1 - More Malt and Milk (18 Satchets) (30g): Usual Price $5.95
(iii) Jacob's Box - Hi Fibre Crackers (157g): Usual Price $1.80
(iv) Khong Guan Biscuits - Cream Crackers (300g) : Usual Price $1.75
(v) Koka No MSG Instant Noodles - Mushroom (85g): Usual Price $2.35
(vi) Fairprice Instant Noodle - Mushroom 5's (85g): Usual Price $1.70
4) One of the following:
(a) Super 3 in 1 Cereal - Original (reduced in sugar) (27g): Usual Price $3.50
(b) Super 4 in 1 Instant Cereal - Brown Rice (30g): Usual Price $3.50
Total 7 items per donation bag (amount between $18.70 to $22.10 per bag)

Tote bags will be provided to all participating units for their packing of the above listed items. Units will have to deliver the donation items to Red Cross House between 16th and 19th April, 2pm to 6.30pm.


Event Briefing cum Community Service Orientation Workshop for Cadets and Teachers (not
applicable to Link Units)

To better prepare Participating Cadets and Teachers for this ground engagement, an Orientation
Workshop will be conducted to provide basic knowledge of handling the vulnerable, including the
observation of do’s and don’ts.
This Orientation Workshop will be conducted by Social Work professionals from Seniors Activity
Centre.
Two sessions of this Orientation Workshop have been arranged. ALL participating units are
required to send TWO (2) Secondary 3 Cadets (who are participating) to attend the sessions
stated below:

Amalina Ishak, no later than 12th April 2012 (Thursday).
